While your expertise gets you the job, your well-being is what keeps you in the game. In an increasingly demanding work environment, the ability to manage your energy, set healthy boundaries, and foster meaningful connections enables you to lead effectively and avoid burnout.
Join Associate Professor Beth Livingston and Kati Schneider, Director of Tippie Thrive, as they share evidence-based strategies to help you navigate the complexities of the modern workplace. Beth and Kati will dive into how to manage your thoughts and feelings when circumstances are out of your control, the power of treating yourself with the same kindness you offer others, and how to structure work-life boundaries that actually stick. They will also explore the science of "high-quality connections"—those essential professional relationships that fill your cup rather than draining it.
Whether you are leading a team or looking to better manage your own professional journey, this session will provide you with the actionable tools needed to build a more resilient, balanced, and fulfilling career.
Career Connect Calls will be one-hour Zoom calls where Graduate & Professional Programs students can connect and network with others in the Iowa MBA, MSBA, MSFIN, and/or Professional Certificate programs. The goal is to connect with each other, and depending on attendance will be broken out into smaller groups to enhance the experience—e.g. job function, industry, career goals, etc.
No RSVP is required.
